Was Kam Frantkowski at Muchacho a mag?
We have visited this restaurant multiple times, and it has consistently delivered great experiences. The seafood tacos he recommended, especially the redfish taco, are simply amazing — you have to try them! Honestly, it's one of the best tacos I've ever had! The blood orange margaritas are absolutely divine, and the tres leches cake, which isn't even on the menu, was incredible! My brother enjoyed it too. View all feedback.
What Amy Caverlee dislikes about Muchacho:
This is the second time we’ve been to this place and although the food was decent the service was an issue. This is the second time we’ve been to this place and although the food was decent the service was an issue. Both times we were rushed through our entire meal from ordering drinks to dessert by our server. We were there on a weekday evening both times so not during the weekend rush. We were trying to celebrate a friends birthday and catch up but we were made to feel we had to inhale our food and be in and out in 45 minutes. Not a good way to treat your customers. We even said something to the manager who was shaking hands with people as we left and he had nothing to say in response. We will not be back.
The atmosphere is inviting. Our waiter was Alfonso he was very helpful, attentive, and patient. The crispy shrimp tacos, the chicken fajitas, brisket sopes, flan, and the guac were from heaven good. The drinks were good too we had expresso martini and mimosa.
First time here! They were so freaking accommodating and the food was spectacular! Drinks were awesome! They do a great job of taking care of their guests! Yes I felt like a guest not a customer! Thank you!!
As a regular bar attendee, I’d say this place is MEDIOCRE. Yes, the food is great. But I’ve sat at the bar 5+ times and had BEYOND mediocre service. We have to ask the bartenders for a water refill, chip refill, cocktail refill … the servers are very flighty, and don’t care much about the patrons experience. They spend MORE time talking to each other comparing cell phone content than serving or refilling drinks chips. We witnessed the servers chatting checking their phones when we wanted a refill. It’s honestly shocking, for their reputation and cost, that we sat at the bar and had such mediocre service. They are clearly a HP bar that serves their regular bougie clients more than the average customer! Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: 30–50
