Good food, prices are really good, the chocolate milkshake is a dream and the Coca Tea is good too. The staff is really nice and gives you a family feeling. I would come here again. The fries!!!! The fries are the best!!!!
Had breakfast this morning with my wife and daughters. Really friendly people, really good food, my daughters and I had the Avocado and mushroom toast with extra egg. My wife had this amazing stack of pancakes with strawberry and Nutella. Milkshakes and coffee were great. Price was reasonable. The pics are of us eating so you can see good quality. All in all I’d highly recommend JC’s to travelers.
TAKEAWAY BASED REVIEW. I was staying 5 minutes away from JCs and used them as a place to grab my evening meals on days I wanted to chill and eat at my accommodation. I usually walked in around 8PM and was met with friendly, kind staff who spoke good English. After you order you can wait inside and they have music playing with a television on as well. I had ordered the ham and cheese toastie, steak sandwich and chicken tortilla on different occasions. On every occasion the food was prepared in good time and packaged in perfect takeaway form a white box for the main food, pots/sachets for any sources that would usually go with the meal, napkins and plastic cutlery all in a carrier bag. The food was still hot every time I sat down to eat after a 5 minute walk back in the cold Cusco evening climate. The portions are generous which is ideal if you’ve been out exploring around town or out on an excursion during the day. All meals I tried were well cooked and very tasty. The ham and cheese was my favourite of the lot. I would recommend any travellers who want good food to takeaway JCs. I am sure the food is just as good if you eat in also (although as I say I have not experienced that myself).
Get the Huevos Rancheros. Trust Me. This is where I landed every morning in Cusco. Not by accident. Not just because it’s walkable or popular with gringos. Because the coffee is strong, the food hits exactly where it should, and because JC’s Café felt like a tiny corner of calm before diving back into the altitude and the chaos. Yeah, you’ll hear more English than Spanish inside. That is acceptable, this time.... The huevos rancheros here are worth breaking any rule of local-only dining. Two perfectly poached eggs resting on a tortilla blanketed in smoky, rich beans that tasted like they’d been simmering since sunrise. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and pay attention. I couldn’t even finish mine. That’s how much they give you. But it didn’t stop me from coming back the next day. And the one after that. If you’re in Cusco and looking for your breakfast spot, this is it. Get the huevos rancheros. Trust me.
