a must in basin, high quality ratio and a kindness that you feel at home. They recommended us very well in both quantities and in choice, the codillo of the house very tasty and juicy, which was undone. very rich and homemade scrambles. A joy to see a SOLETE MICHELIN at the door. The food was disappointing, except for one of the dishes. We left the burnt vegetables and 80% of a seemingly exquisite meat dish to show. We went there on advice of the owner of the apartments in which we stayed. And we really enjoyed the food, but we should go back to try other plates. We took a salad, gazpacho del pastor, and although the later looks like an omelette, it's much more than that!
Real comfort food served in atmospheric surroundings. Worth finding and certainly value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful
I have just visited Meson Darling with my Spanish friends. From the outside it just looks like a typical Spanish bar in Cuenca. However, as soon as you step inside there is a lovely atmosphere, a seated dining area or seats around the bar if you prefer. The free tapas with a drink is excellent and varied, the variety of food on offer is varied, tasty, and really good quality. The specialities of Cuenca are delicious, I particularly recommend the morteruela which was superb. Forget the more expensive restaurants in the old town catering for foreign tourists, give this place a try, you won't regret it! The wine is also great value!
Very good food and big portions were serves with a reasonable price. Shame the service was really poor, staff wasn’t kind or helpful.
