If you leave the basin season there are few places where you can have breakfast, one of them is in the center of the main square, the best location, and is very lively in the morning, by retirees or housewives that will have breakfast for the second time here are porras, not hot but crisp, a delicious toast and olive oil, and the service is pleasant.
Typical place to eat located on the street of tourists who are in all cities. You can get out of the face or the cross, it depends on the day, we're lucky, it came out of the face. Although it has several inner rooms, we sit on the terrace at the foot of the arch, and with magnificent views of the entire square and the cathedral of the basin. the waitress was very friendly and explained to us what were the typical dishes of the place, and that we ordered , garlic arriero, pisto, , morteruelo , zarajo and a flat tortilla fe potatoes excellent. the typical dishes very rich. In short, it's not a bad place to eat if you're in the center.
I thought I had eaten on skins and that I knew to recognize them, but it seems that there is always room for surprise. After sitting three on a table for two, we asked for a soda and the lid, regrettable (puré de patata con ajo crudo y pan). Despite the terrible experience with the lid, we ask to eat a menu (23 pax eurazos) and share serving a few crumbs and a cheese that has been the only passive one. the first dish, a homemade minstrel with oil to grease the engine of an airbus. between the first and the second dish, a span of time greater than 40 minutes. The result? Some ice cream lamb chops from the fridge. Today I first came out in my life from an unfinished restaurant. I would have asked for the claim sheet, but today it seems more effective to publish online than the other.
This is one of the worst places I have ever been. I went to Cuenca with my family for the holidays and we went to the cathedral. The first place that we saw was the Cafeteria Los arcos. We had to wait for about 30 minutes before they took our order. Despite the fact that we arrived first, many people went before which is understandable because you can easily get mix up but when we ask to order she answered really annoyed and I quote “ I have only to win hands, if you do not know how to wait, the door is right in front of you. We were really hungry so we stayed but after that rude comment we had to wait like 20 minutes or so. The bartender was really rude and incompetent, the food was not good and the glasses were dirty. She faces us our order with an attitude. I was really shocked since people here in Cuenca live out of tourism and foreigners. Since there is not a option for 0 stars I will be giving one. I do no recommend coming to this place even if it is for a drink you’ll be treated badly.
This was the worst experience we’ve had in Spain in a long time. We hadn’t had lunch and passed by this bar hungry, at about 6 pm. It was the only one in old city Cuenca that had some food but it was very bad, and pricey. They had a kind of black pudding sausage which was too wet, a too dry chorizo sausage,and a tasteless tortilla . The wine was a very poor one. Price 22 euro : Very disappointing. Bathrooms were very dirty and horribly stinky.
