The tavern offers typical dishes with delicious consequences. the only problem is that the phone number on your website is always out or out of coverage. I've been calling ten days and there's no way. No one takes it. I even left a message in the answering machine and it hasn't served anything. In the end we are a group of 8 people who have decided to book in another restaurant. a pity, but it can't work that way. that improves and updates the system to make a reservation. that's all they need.
An excellent place very good food, although it should be noted that perhaps by the great multitude of people food and drink is very good as well as the atmosphere of the place
A very nice place with charm. the very friendly staff. recommend the saladilla
We had a fun time in this charming and very popular spot tucked in a corner just off the Plaza Mayor. We lucked out that a table was paying their bill as we arrived, so we actually scored a table. The menu is small and focused on many local/regional specialties that were quite unfamiliar to us, even though we manage menu Spanish pretty capable. Even googling dishes such as “Ajoarriero” did not render clear answers! Nevertheless, we ventured into the unknown. A tasty platter of cheese, chorizo, and salami came “free” with the bottle of wine, so we skipped the Iberian ham toast that looked delicious. Instead we had a wonderful surprise with the salad of “canónigos” (mâche in French/English) with goat cheese, walnuts, and tomato jam. It was a huge salad, for sure designed to be shared! The ajoarriero was a different surprise, as Google led is to expect a warm cod dish; instead, a cold dish of potatoes, salt cod, and tons of garlic. It grew on me after the initial confusion, and we were safe from vampires that night. The chocolate “sausage” was clever and fun. All in all, it was a fun night and interesting experience!
Super small place but we were lucky to get a place to stand/sit, next to the bar full with locals enjoying themselves while we were enjoying the local food. Happy there was somebody with us to explain the various local speciaties because that's what you get here. No high cuisine, but nice small dishes. Careful, don't order too much: it is typical pastoral food, so very filling!
