As this was the only restaurant open the day we arrived in Cucuron, they were doing a roaring trade. Set right beside the Etang (pond) we thought the location was pleasant and were hopeful of a good lunch. The food was dreadful. My husband had...fish that tasted muddy and I ordered a Basque style Chicken Linguine that ended up being a bit of dried looking chicken leg with some rice! Perhaps they ran out of Linguine?... Had drinks here after shopping on the market. the setting is very pleasant with outside seats opposite the large rectangular pond. on a hot day there are many large plan trees to give them shadows, and it is nice to sit, to drink coffee and. the world to visit by. it is always busy and popular here.
We stopped here to enjoy a break on the water and ordered a koks and ice. the waitress was enchanting and very sweet and friendly. the ice was very good and a wonderful break until afternoon.
We visited this bar a few times, both for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. it is simple, but very pleasant. we have never eaten here, but in the morning they are happy that they gather beautiful baked pieces from the boulangerie around the corner, and eat them while they enjoy their very decent coffee. friendly waitress. beautiful environment and a great place to relax in the shadow and watch some people.
We had recommended to visit cucuron from a friend. we thought we were eating something here. it was an idyllic environment next to the pond. the food was great. service a little slow, but that has added to the relaxing day. a visit worth
We stopped here for lunch ppl). After we waited for a while a really bored waitress came that spoke no english at all. All she said is “you have to wait”. How long? She did not understand that...so we said ok and waited...and waited...she...never even brought menues...avoid unfrendly service at this place.
