Food is terrific. Fish taco’s out of this world. Great ambiance for this location. Quiet location though it’s right off the freeway. Clean bathrooms. Great for families with kids or a quiet place for a couple. Maitre d’ was kinda off, reading in between the lines here but seemed to be joint that welcomes locals, not outsiders… just my 2 cents! Miss the original. Both in atmosphere and quality of food. We’ve stopped on different occasions over the last 15—20 years when driving from Texas to the east. Been to the location closer to Lafayette but always preferred this one. Food wasn’t bad but seemed less flavorful. Gumbo was warm but not hot. Service was decent. But this Louisiana.
