Tucked in Corning, Arkansas, this tiny, unpretentious diner-steakhouse is a locally adored hidden gem. The menu leans hearty—burgers, sandwiches and plate specials—while steaks (fresh-cut ribeyes), chicharrones/pork cracklings, fried catfish, crisp fried okra and homemade pies win repeat fans. Service is prompt and friendly, portions are satisfying, and the cooking rivals big-chain steakhouses. A short drive is often rewarded with memorable, comfort-driven meals that make the stop well worth it.
A wonderful little gem. A friend introduced me to this place and I will literally drive thirty minutes a couple times a week for the food. It's got a great little diner style menu (burgers, sandwiches, couple of plate options). If you find yourself inCorning and you skip this place you've done yourself a real disservice.

We almost didn’t stop at Halcomb’s Steaks Grill because it’s a tiny place with very few reviews, but we decided to give it a try and I highly recommend anyone to stop by and enjoy. The waitress was very prompt, and the food was beyond anything I can describe. I don’t usually write detailed reviews unless it’s a negative experience, but I had to for this one. I’ve eaten at Texas Roadhouse, Colton’s, and many others, and none compare to Halcomb’s. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. Also, their menu offers incredible options you won’t want to miss. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to stop here. While passing through, I enjoyed incredible food. Their chicharrones were absolutely unforgettable, the ribeye steaks were freshly cut and delivered that very day, and the homemade pies were delicious. Don't miss out—stop by and eat!
