Coming back from a walking hike, or having just parked your car in the large parking area, you find yourself in a plain, surrounded by Mountains in the 100 Lakes national park. Good traditional food, wonderful Parma Ham and Salame, which in the good season can be eaten outside. You can let the kids outside to play as there are no dangers. After lunch/dinner you can have a stroll visitng the former Peat deposits, or take some longer trails starting next to the Chalet.. Note: on most years you can find snow untill the month of may!
We hiked up on a drizzly day. I gave the rooms a 3 because there are only a few rooms. Otherwise, the refuge is in an excellent location and very well run by friendly, young people. We were a group from the CAI ULE of Genoa Center, friendly people.
It could be better... Indecent bathrooms, single queue, poorly maintained, little attention to the customer at the cash register
Nice restaurant/hotel. Had only coffee, but the service was good. Paid only €1,50 for a cappuccino ! Delicious looking pastries. Friendly staff. Nice views and enough seating capacity
