Was Anonym at The Poor Relation a mag?
Absolutely fantastic experience. My partner and I stopped off here whilst doing Christmas shopping. All the bar staff and girl) greeted us like old friends. They were approachable, jovial and prompt with their service. I asked if they would show a football match on the TV, which they agreed, then started having a laugh over the team I followed this type of banter is sadly missing from Irish bars today We will return,... What Anonym dislikes about The Poor Relation:
Currently under a new manageress with the Worst Power Tripping attitude you will experience. One or 2 staff follow her rudeness. Maybe her 1st job..? Several have left this establishment over one of the worst power trippers in the trade. How long has she been there..? Great Bar for many years though and owned by a Nice Guy. View all feedback.
6 friends wanted to hold a drink between the bookings. would have been good to just say that the place was booked. the type we met, said, go to the bodhran, take away drinks and so we have. the bodhran gave us drinks... we drank on the streets that heard music. it is a shame to look at the empty tables that we could not only drink one. but I had a great night somewhere else on the recommendation of her personal!
I usually do not leave reviews, but felt obliged to use the service we have received! we visited the poor relation on our trip to earth about christmas and stumbled over the poor relation. we didn't expect much after we dropped the bus. but we were. with the best hospitality we have received in cork from barmaid julie! they recommended a few great new gins from a local brewery, the rising sons gin. much better than what we get in the states! we warned during our stay in cork in a few more bars, but no others have measured up to the service we have received from julie in the poor relation!
In the poor relationship to try the aspiring sons beer had no idea what I wanted and received great recommendations from our barmaid julie! she gave us a taste of the hansum ipa, loved it! big pub, in any case back, fabulous service by julie. all night.
