My friends and I are regulars at Sghiripizza when coming back from our evening run. We call and order and when we get there our pizza is coming out of the oven! They have a great whole grain crust option and the prices are right (considering this is Como, that says a lot! You can still get a margherita for E4! . Proprietors friendly and you can get a free drink with your pizza when you go on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Absolutely nowhere to sit unless you go before winter sets in; then there is a plastic table or two outside where you can sit and eat your pizza if you absolutely don't want to take it home.
We entered this take away pizzeria one of the first night in December. When we come in, we found two persons: a boy who was the pizza maker, and a woman who in a hurry asked us if we wanted to order, as she had to go out. We answered that we 'd need a little more time as we wanted to see the menu. So she went out and we told our orders to the pizza boy, who immediately made our pizzas. When the lady come back, some problems began. First of all she began screaming at the pizza boy because he had done one pizza less, while he claimed that he was told to make that pizza later; the lady went on screaming at him, like we were not present in the room! After a few minutes we asked her the bill and she made us a wrong bill because of a misunderstanding with the pizza boy, she recognized only when the pizza maker removed the pizzas from the oven. She began screaming once more: this is not tuna, you 're kidding me? , and the pizza boy answered that it was a tony pizza, but still there was some misunderstanding in its ingredients as they had two menu. I asked her if the payment was ok, and she told me that is was. So I put away my wallet to go out and after that the woman told me you 've to pay 1euro and 40 and is it a problem? . I paid that amount, and she gave me no receipt, and I have to admit that I 've never faced a situation like this before. Above all, the taste of the pizzas were nice, but the behavior of the woman (the owner? towards the pizza maker and towards us surely make us hardly come back.
