Was Michael Schuett at Cook's a mag?
Great place to stop for a good meal. So many options I wanted to try but sadly not enough room for them all I ended up going with the Steak Night Special and it sure was alotta food! That steak was cooked just right and practically melted in my mouth! Should I be in area again, I'd definitely return! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View all feedback.
What Carlos C dislikes about Cook's:
During my first visit, I was quite disappointed. The waiter took over 10 minutes to take our drink order, and then it took another 30 minutes for our food to arrive, even though it was a slow day. I ordered a patty melt with onion rings, but the patty melt was significantly overpriced given its small size, and it came with just four tiny onion rings. View all feedback.
While passing through Clovis, we decided to stop for lunch at Cook's restaurant, and what a great discovery it was! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and our waitress recommended the tenderized pork tenderloin with a side of gravy, while my wife opted for the hamburger basket. Both dishes were exceptional! The food and service earned a solid 10 out of 10, and it felt like a close-knit community where everyone knew one another. We definitely plan to return next year on our way back from Arizona. Five red stars!
During our road trip from Oregon to Texas, we made a stop here and were impressed by the fantastic and speedy service. The food was delicious, and the place had that classic diner vibe. By the way, don't miss the ranch dressing— even our 7-year-old thought it was perfect! Here’s what we ordered: two enchiladas, green chili con queso, a BLT with onion rings, and a kids' grilled cheese with fries. We’ll definitely add this spot to our list for the return trip!

Stopped in Clovis on our way from Colorado to Texas and found this little gem. Home cooking at its best! Chicken fried steak and the chopped steak are made in house and delicious! All sides were really good as well. Other customers said their Mexican food is also really good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
