There are a plethora of vegan choices available at this restaurant! The vegan katsu was especially delicious, and I have also enjoyed various vegan salads and sandwiches in the past, which have always been packed with flavor. The vegan hot chocolate was also a delightful treat!

I have been vegan for 9 years and gluten intolerant for 2 years, so I was thrilled to find this charming little coffee shop that serves absolutely delicious gluten-free vegan cake. I tried the fresh blueberry cake and the lemon drizzle cake, both of which were delightful. Finding good vegan gluten-free cake can be a challenge, so this was a real treat, especially when paired with a coconut milk latte. The interior of the coffee shop is beautifully decorated in a modern and hip style. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, offering a variety of vegan, gluten-free, and breakfast dishes as well as a selection of soft drinks and teas. They also sell plants, which is a nice touch. This place reminds me of my travels to Berlin and Poland, where coffee shops like this are quite popular. I am looking forward to returning and trying the Buddha dishes and the katsu curry. For anyone looking for a new spot to visit regularly, the outdoor seating area is also very cool.
I adore this restaurant! The cake and coffee are delicious, the decor is amazing, and the staff are so friendly. They are also managing Covid restrictions well. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Another hidden gem in Chesham.
Since Covid-19 I had to find places in Chesham to work. Chesham is a lovely town but now renowned for the best hospitality for CEO and business people with our computers and long hours! But Root is very welcoming. They have delicious coffee and the best cakes in town. It can be a little noisy with families and toddlers, but if you don’t mind sound of life, Root is great!!
