Such a lively fun rooftop Food was excellent Servers are extremely nice but stretched to the limit so breathe and relax It's worth the wait. Sea bass is fabulous as was the okra and the eggplant appetizers. Good wine offerings by the bottle too Time flew. Our server Jacob was terrific View all feedback.

The food was good, but service was very slow and not well timed. We dined early Friday evening, and the restaurant was not full when we arrived. We had heard great things about Taxim and were excited to visit, as we are fans of Greek cuisine. Unfortunately, we were quite dissatisfied with our visit and even spoke with the manager to share our feedback. The food was decent, but did not impress us as we had hoped. The lamb chops were cooked well but lacked flavor, as if they had not been seasoned at all. My red wine was served warm, indicating it had been open for too long, and the waiter kindly replaced it with a fresh but warm glass. The server was friendly, but the overall service was lacking - we were not offered a drink menu other than wine and only given one food menu for two people. The food arrived promptly, but we had to wait a while for the check. Overall, the experience fell short of our expectations.
I recently visited this restaurant for the second time and once again, I was very impressed with the food. In my opinion, it is the best Greek restaurant in Chicago. They offer an exceptional selection of dishes and have an amazing wine list. The portions are perfect for sharing between 4-6 people, but my experience with just 2 people was also fantastic. We tried a variety of dishes and each one was exceptional.
My wife has food allergies and they were very accommodating with regards to that 
I just ate dinner here last night and I thought my dinner was fantastic until I got the final bill!! Martini's $17 apiece plus a $4 dollar up charge for Tito's or Tanqueray!!??. I'm sorry since when are these two upgrades Martinis!!! I also noticed that they charge us a 22% gratuity upfront!! While we were eating a band was playing which made things very difficult and loud (we were warned about) so I did not want to argue with the waiter...total damage for two people and for so so martinis , one appetizer and 2 smaller sized plates almost $200!! This is what I would pay at Mastros but their martinis are standard great ingredients +3 ounce of liquor!!
Very overpriced for what you get. I also didn't like they automatically add 22% on every bill for gratuity. When you walked in a person at the front counter, just hands you menus and tells you to go up the stairs. Felt a little rude for a place that charges so much. Lamb was a little over salted but very tender. Honestly, you can go somewhere else and get more for your money.
