Was Warda Shafi at Ora Sushi a mag?
We visited before dinner time, which made it easy to get a table, but it filled up quickly after that. The food was incredible, and the prices were reasonable. We ended up spending nearly $30 and had a fantastic experience. This is definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago! View all feedback.
We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Ora last weekend. The sushi was truly some of the best I've had outside of Japan. We were looking for an omakase experience and while they did not have an official omakase course on the weekends, our server Max was more than willing to select the best offerings off their menu. He was highly knowledgeable and provided superb service throughout the meal. Each piece surpassed our expectations in terms of quality, texture, and flavor. The fresh Peruvian uni was mindblowing, we're still thinking about it now! We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the total bill ended up being cheaper than expected. The interior is dimly lit and stylish, perfect for a date night. If you're in the Andersonville or Chicago area, definitely try to stop by!

Fantastic. Service was a little spotty (super friendly, at times, slow), but man, the sushi was worth it. The specialty rolls and seasonal specials were memorable and distinctive and they were very accommodating of gluten/celiac. Thank you for an incredible night out!
I worked at a very good sushi restaurant pretty breifly and there is just no comparison between that place and Ora. While traveling to Norway we sought out the 'best sushi in the world ' which also honestly couldn 't compare. We ate a really early dinner so maybe the chef went above and beyond bc he had the time. Normally I can 't stomach sushimi or nigiri bc of the texture but we decided to go for it and tried a lot of nigiri and it was incredible. If I 'm ever in Chicago again eating here will be my top priority
This is still my favorite spot for sushi and sashimi. The presentation is beautiful, and the quality of the fish is top-notch. The chef adds wasabi and soy sauce to each piece, so I don’t have to overwhelm them with soy sauce myself. I make sure to visit this place whenever I'm in Chicago. I usually order the salmon belly pieces and the poke bowl, and I've never been disappointed. Just a heads-up: the portions are a bit on the smaller side, so don’t come too hungry!
