This German restaurant is everything you could desire. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, featuring comfortable lighting and spacious tables. The food was amazing, very authentic. The place was a very fun experience. Their split pea soup was the best and I loved their chicken schnitzel. Both the waiter and customers were great to talk to. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Germanfood and some good beer.
My husband's favorite spot in all of Chicago. The owners are warm and friendly, and the service us excellent. Great cozy place to hang out in on a rainy day.
This place is a gem! The food is (chef's kiss), is phenomenal. The staff and especially the owner, great people. So much more on the menu I want to try. Beer selection absolutely goes well with everything I've had so far.So long as the place is there, it's going on my permanent recommendation list for German cuisine in Chicago.
If you want to drink good German beer, this is an awesome place. If you want to eat good German food, avoid at all costs. The food is quite mediocre and is downright criminal for the price.
