Good gas, but the day manager could improve her manners. She was very rude and disrespectful, even threatening to call the police on me when I was simply trying to help a young couple. View all feedback.
My fiancé was going to get me and our baby a drink and the late night worker slammed the sliding door in his and a few other customers faces and told them they had to stand outside (while it was cold) till he got done doing what he needed to do!Meanwhile there was 3/4 customers in the store getting mad wanting out and the worker told them they had to wait to be let out.. that is awful being treated that way I use to work at a mapco and we never did that !!!

I’ve learned that the true character of a place often shows during its slowest hours. While 2 a.m. might not be the least busy time at Mapco, that’s when I encountered the real attitude of the staff member working behind the counter. I stopped by for a cup of coffee and some Little Debbie Donut Sticks (go ahead and judge me) after work, carrying my backpack. A bit of background: I’ve been a loyal Mapco Rewards member since the program started in 2012 and have generally enjoyed most of their locations. I got my coffee and waited behind one customer. When it was my turn to pay, I told the cashier I was a rewards member and wanted to enter my phone number. After doing so, I noticed he was staring at me oddly. I waited for him to finish but the staring continued. Before I could ask why, he suddenly asked if I had been banned from the store. That was not what I expected. I asked him to repeat the question, and he did. He explained he had been told that a black man (I’m black, by the way) with a backpack was banned from the store. I just looked at him, thinking he was being ridiculous. I told him no, I had never been banned, but I understood why the mistake was made since “all black guys look the same” to him. I won’t go into more detail here because this is a review, not an opinion piece. Bottom line: the cashier’s comment was completely inappropriate. Note to Mapco: If you ban someone from your store, at least make sure you have the right information—maybe a photo or a name. If someone behaves so badly that you don’t want them as a customer, that’s one thing. But don’t mistakenly target innocent people based on assumptions or stereotypes.

The staff is extremely courteous, and the store is very clean. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by.
