Dining at this restaurant has proven to be a mixed experience. While the food boasts fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors, some recent visits revealed inconsistency, particularly in the quality and preparation of certain dishes. The service varied, with some patrons enjoying prompt attention while others felt overlooked. Ambiance and noise levels also played a role in shaping the overall experience. Nevertheless, many diners praised the exceptional desserts and cocktails, reaffirming the restaurant's potential, especially for those looking for refined dining. With a diverse menu and impressive offerings, it remains a spot worth checking out, albeit with tempered expectations.
For my main course, I tried the Korean Bibimbap. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, and the egg was spot-on as well. The kimchi was some of the best I’ve ever tasted, though it did have a particularly spicy sauce that was a bit hotter than I prefer. Overall, it was very enjoyable. To drink, I had the Ricketty Ginny, which paired nicely with the shrimp. I also ordered a seasonal cocktail called the Bitter Becky. It had a nice balance of bitter and sweet flavors, which I found pleasing. As someone who typically doesn't enjoy sweet drinks, I was pleasantly surprised by it. Our server, Becca, provided excellent service throughout our meal. I’ll definitely be coming back, especially for the Vietnamese Fried Shrimp. I highly recommend checking this place out!
Overall a disappointing experience. I ordered the miso udon and it was so spicy, I could only eat a couple of bites. The sparkling rosé was very nice and we enjoyed both the liquid chocolate and s’mores desserts. We sat on the patio which was nice, but there is a surprising amount of road noise. The service was just ok. I think we would have had a better experience if we had ordered small plates.
If we had gotten a variety of small plates to share we may have had a better experience. I had planned on getting Bibimbop Koren BBQ until they said it didn’t come in a hot stone bowl which is a key component so the rice gets crispy so I went with the ribeye which I wouldn’t normally get unless I was at a steakhouse, but it looked great in the pictures. And it was good. It’s mildly seasoned, but the butter on top and the spicy sauce on the side adds a nice flavor. The fingerling potatoes were good, but they were on a bed of puréed sweet potatoes that tastes like baby food and didn’t have much flavor and certainly didn’t add to the dish potatoes on potatoes?!? the salad was just taking up room and the dried radish ? added nothing to the dish. My dining companions udon noodles were too spicy to eat and she likes spice and there was no warning on the menu. The dessert bites were delish a little burst or flavor that reminded of a Michelin course. Both deserts liquid chocolate and s’mores were good. If you are looking for something fruity and a little lighter, I’d go with the liquid chocolate. But the chocolate squares in the s’mores was divine.
Dine in, dinner in early November 2022. Lovely table service from the staff. Ordered the cauliflower and steamed lobster buns appetizers with a seafood curry and pork chop entrees. The pork chop was a bit overdone, curry was okay; I'd choose somethingelse next time. Dessert was a chocolate mousse in a doughnut shell plus 2 individual droplets of raspberry puree coated in achocolate shell. Pretty presentation. It was quite dim in the dining room for me. There was a bar area that seemed more welllit. Plenty of parking and easy to find.
Awesome experience! This is definitely one of the best “fine dining” places to go around Cary. Great for a date night. The environment, presentation of foods, and services are all perfect. We tried the Indonesian duck and peppered NY strip, withfried oyster as appetizer and two recommended non-alcoholic drinks. Everything is delicious! Only downsize is size/quantity ofthe dish is small, so you may want to order more appetizers or sushi. Dessert is amazing! We tried the pistachio and it justhas so many flavors all included in one dish. We also got some macaroon on the house!
