I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful restaurant hidden in gardens with charming decor and friendly staff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The ambiance was okay, but the food was not great. Ordered steak (medium) the one side was burnt, my knife could not cut through it. I sent it back, the second steak came out well done and dry even though I ordered medium. When the bill came, the manager did not charge for the steak (which was fair) but don't think I will be back. The Graham Beck champagne was a standout. I also enjoyed a rum baba dessert and some of my partner's creme brulee. Overall, I cannot wait to return to this hidden gem.
This restaurant is fantastic. I adore the ambiance and the atmosphere. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I highly recommend trying the bark tar and the blacks. The prices are very reasonable for such a traditional establishment. Keep up the great work, young and talented team!
The appetizers and mains were fantastic, but the milkcake dessert is definitely a miss. It was dense and bland. The service was excellent and they had a great wine list.

Great private members club open to everyone for lunch and dinner. I recommend lunch. Not too busy, lovely food, very peaceful surroundings for central Cape Town.
