The food was tasty and the staff was excellent. However, when my wife requested menu alterations, the restaurant simply removed the items rather than offering substitutes. For a two-star Michelin restaurant, this lack of flexibility doesn't meet expectations. The place is nice but feels too formal.
Voro is beautiful experience that my wife and I will cherish. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and insightful. The meal exquisite with an attention to detail that must be years, if not decades, in the making. Each course and wine pairing was simply incredible.
In short: this was the best restaurant visit of our lives! The Voro is better than the Tim Raue in Berlin or Christian Berner Söl'ring Hof on Sylt that we visited this year. It also beats the 3-star Michelin houses Vendome and Schwarzwaldstuben in our opinion. What makes it so good? All the courses, without exception, have an insane depth and breadth of flavour. In addition, a lot of local products are used. Furthermore, the entire service, including the sommelier, is endlessly enthusiastic. Even spontaneous special requests were fulfilled directly and without complications on several occasions. And last but not least: the prices are very, very fair and more on a 1-star Michelin level. As to the wines, it is commendable to source local products produced in small batches, but if you are going to charge top class prices you need to serve top class wines, and frankly some of them were not good. We could have flown to London and back and eaten at vastly superior restaurants for the price they are charging, and with the benefit of hindsight I wish we had!
We loved out evening in Voro restaurant. 21 servings with wine, every bite was an experience both to look at and to taste. Excellent service from our waiter and the sommelier all evening. It was definitely the highlight of our holidays. Highly recommended.
