Eat Tokyo stands out as a popular budget-friendly Japanese chain in London, offering generous portions and an extensive menu that delights diners with authentic flavors. While the food, including highly recommended bento boxes and fresh sushi, garners praise for its quality and value, service can be inconsistent. Some patrons report feeling rushed, though management generally strives to address concerns. With branches like Holborn and Covent Garden, each offers its unique atmosphere— Covent Garden's modern design featuring a striking glass floor adds flair. Overall, a visit here promises satisfying dishes for sushi enthusiasts seeking a casual dining experience.
What 682JamesB682 likes about Eat Tokyo:
Funny little place, but the clue that it 's good is that the majority of the diners are actually Japanese. It 's not sort of 'stage set Japanese ' inside (i.e. Japanese as imagined for the West) but rather actually Japanese which some night find unsettling. Food is equally authentic. Good time to go is a Sunday, when it 's quiet (we went to the Red Lion Street branch and others might be different). View all feedback.
What Tony2k12 doesn't like about Eat Tokyo:
We arrived at 6pm table for 4 people, by 6.45pm which is 45mins the male waiter was rushing us to leave! Appalling level of service. Complained to the manager, he just apologised. They even charged me for service! But there want any service. Owner should really read these reviews and investigate. View all feedback.
