Recent visits to Ruby's have yielded varying outcomes, reflecting both satisfaction and dissatisfaction among patrons. The food was honestly cold and not as good as it usually is in the restaurant. The portions were extremely small. It was definitely not worth $50. I was very dissatisfied.
I recently had a disappointing experience at Ruby's. Both of the full racks of ribs I ordered had very little meat on them, mostly fat. Two out of the three sirloin steaks were overcooked to well done when they were supposed to be cooked medium. This was a stark contrast to the good food we had received in the past. The ribs at Ruby's are usually fantastic, but this time they were lacking meat. The sirloin steaks are hit or miss depending on the cook, and unfortunately this time they were extremely overcooked and dry. Out of the five meals we ordered, four were almost inedible due to the poor quality of the meat. I feel the need to share this feedback in hopes that the cooks will improve their preparation of the food. Despite this experience, we still love Ruby's and will continue to order from them in the future.
The garden bar at this restaurant always offers fresh options, and it is easy to avoid non-vegan items. When I have had questions about the ingredients, the staff is always willing to find out for me, so I am not left wondering. It never feels like they are just guessing. If you want something hot in addition to the garden bar, they also offer baked potatoes or steamed broccoli. The only downside I would mention is that the menu is filled with photos of animal meat.
I only tried the garden bar, but it was fantastic. I had three salads for my meal, which included chickpeas and other vegan options.
