Was Victor Panlilio at Roc's a mag?
The food here is delicious Filipino cuisine. This is my third visit, and I've sampled three different dishes: the sisig all-day breakfast (served without rice, just toast and hash browns that resemble tater tots), featuring shredded pork, sautéed mushrooms, diced green bell peppers, and fried onions; pork skewers accompanied by garlic rice; longsilog (a sweet and savory Filipino sausage) served with sunny-side-up egg... What E v e dislikes about Roc's:
The food is outstanding, featuring some of the finest Filipino dishes that are sure to leave you feeling satisfied for the day. However, the service is merely average—staff members are friendly, but nothing stands out. Additionally, the restaurant is somewhat cramped. View all feedback.
I used to dine at this restaurant frequently before their relocation three years ago. The new dining space is smaller, and unfortunately, the quality of the food seems to have decreased. I'm uncertain whether there has been a change in management or chefs, but the dishes no longer entice me. The sisig and bulalo lacked flavor and needed more seasoning. While the crispy pata had a nice crispy skin, that was the only positive; the meat was rather bland. The service wasn’t impressive either. On a brighter note, they do provide free parking.
The service was slow, and the food took even longer to arrive. To make matters worse, the waitress responded with sarcasm when we mentioned our lengthy wait for our first appetizer, which took over 40 minutes to arrive after we ordered. I would urge the owner to provide better training for the servers on being attentive and courteous to the customers who help support this small business. It's customers like us who contribute to your success and the local economy. I don't typically leave reviews like this, but the waitress's passive-aggressive attitude was striking. It's detrimental to your business.

It’s absolutely delightful for this Filipino transplant. The service is also very friendly!
We also tried the Taro and Sans Rival cake to bring back to the office, and it was such a hit that people were asking for the restaurant's details. My colleagues expressed their intention to return with family and friends or to order takeout in the future. The service was excellent, too, especially since our server was the only one working in the restaurant while handling many dine-in and takeout orders. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
The food was delicious and arrived promptly. The waitstaff were very helpful, friendly, and polite. You'll find excellent Filipino cuisine here, from the main dishes to the desserts.
