Ocean Master has been my absolute favourite fish and chips place to go since i was a child, there used to be one in Willoughby where I lived, unfortunately after some years it disappeared, I think this was due to poor visibility of the store. Ocean Master at Newport Beach is staffed by very friendly helpful people but the seafood was far from wonderful. The grilled fish was obviously frozen and not cooked thru. The battered fish was coated in a dark brown something, certainly not like the lovely crisp batter at another establishment in the nearby suburb of Mona Vale. My very favourite things are potato scallops, unfortunately these were coated in something other than batter and really not at all edible.

I seriously hope these guys stay i business and open up more stores around more sydney areas, on the North Shore for example would be great. My favourite meal is the fish cocktail pack, yummy!
