Was Anonym at The Common a mag?
We had a delightful Saturday brunch! We enjoyed a banana smoothie to drink and the Inside Out Truffle Bun to eat, both of which were fantastic treats. The customer service was excellent, and we didn't have to wait long at all. Our neighbor recommended this place to us, and we visited on a Saturday at 10:30 as a party of two. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about The Common:
I had brunch with friends and, despite reading reviews that mentioned young servers, I decided to give this restaurant a try. The place is small but clean, though the service was very slow. I had brunch with friends and, despite reading reviews that mentioned young servers, I decided to give this restaurant a try. The place is small but clean, though the service was very slow. It took almost 20 minutes for our coffee to arrive. We ordered the chicken and waffles, which had an interesting flavor with cheddar, but the chicken was overcooked and was just a thigh cutlet, so we won't be reordering that. We also tried the Latin Breakfast and the California Omelet, which we enjoyed. However, the worst part of our experience was when I asked for some water, and my friend did the same. The server took my glass and awkwardly placed it between her armpit and chest. I don't think I would return here again.
The restaurant offers a diverse range of brunch and lunch options. The dishes are packed with flavor and stand out from your typical diner fare, showcasing a unique flair. I enjoyed the smashed young potatoes, which were nicely seasoned, though I wish they had Hasselback potatoes on the menu. I also had the grilled sausage with baked eggs, which was both expertly prepared and satisfying. The soft pancakes were delightful, reminiscent of a fusion between cornbread and a Cinnabon. Overall, the menu is fantastic, and the service was exceptional. However, the space can get crowded due to the limited number of tables, so it's a good idea to plan ahead.
This restaurant offers an excellent variety of brunch and lunch options. The food is rich and flavorful, setting it apart from typical diner fare—there's definitely some flair to the dishes. We shared the smashed young potatoes, which had delightful toppings, although I wished they were Hasselback potatoes instead. I also enjoyed the grilled sausage and baked eggs skillet, which was both tasty and filling. The skillet pancakes were fluffy and tasted like a wonderful blend of cornbread and Cinnabon. Overall, the menu is fantastic and the service was outstanding. Keep in mind that the place can get busy due to its limited number of tables, so it's wise to plan ahead.
