The decor is a little underwhelming which gets you questioning whether or not this will be worth the meal, But the drinks with most focused on Pisco a Peruvian spirit distilled from grapes are fabulous as is the Sangria.Food is also really, really good. I went to this restaurant as a backup, and it was good. The cocktails were okay, the food had presentation and was delectable. The staff were attentive and helpful. Mixto Ceviche tastes great but they forgot to add the octopus. There were maybe like 2 shrimp and calimari and was almost entirely fish
Small portions for the price and some of the food wasn't tasty (the chicken in particular was pretty bad)
I am a lover of Peruvian food and this place definitely has the authentic flavor of the true Peruvian, its fish is fresh and its meat is juicy, it's a must.
Pollo D’Oro is such a quaint little gem tucked away in downtown Brooklyn. We tried the salmon, pollo saltado, and the creamy chicken — each dish was absolutely delicious and came in generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The flavors felt both comforting and elevated. What really stood out, though, were the cocktails — so unique and interesting, unlike the usual bar menu, and they paired beautifully with the food.
