I believe this is one of the last few places in the neighborhood where people of European and mixed heritage can still find food catered to their tastes. The next best option for other foods is probably Netcost, especially for elderly individuals who have enjoyed the foods from Europe. It's also great to see products that are genuinely baked and made in America. I think there's one more authentic European grocery store left, which is Cherry Hill on 86th Street.

The bagel was absolutely delicious. You get to choose your own bagel from a selection, and then they toast it and add cream cheese or other toppings. The bagel itself was perfect—chewy on the inside with a nice crispness on the outside.
The bread tastes great, I come here all the time. However, the last couple of times the regular round and square loaves had giant holes in them. When your machine slices them, they are useless for sandwich making. You might want to checkout the help once in a while to make sure the dough is mixed right, too much yeast or something.
