What Klara Stirner dislikes about Gulchatay:
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant! The waitress by name Sabina was rude and disrespectful. She kept making silly comments and laughing on my questions about food. Why would a waitress be so loud?! Do they really think clients come to listen loud voice and loud music?! The food manti, was mediocre at best. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We usually eat in the restaurant and food is always great. Tonight we ordered takeout and there was a mix up with one of the orders. Called and spoke to the owner and he personally and promptly delivered a generous portion of the missing order. Thank you!
We discovered something very new and pleasant. We went with friends to a wonderful and cozy restaurant with excellent and not intrusive service and chic cuisine. A cozy and bright room, the dishes that we ordered and served to our table were fantastically served in a beautiful format and very tasty. Salads, soups, samsa, manti in the style of Samarkand tradition, lagman in Uighur and Dungan style were made from good and fresh vegetables, with fragrant spices. Fans of tradition and delicious food from Central Asia should come and try everything for themselves. Thank you very much, I have not tasted dishes from my childhood so tasty and high quality for a long time. Special thanks to Sabina for the warmth and hospitality, glad to meet you, we will be friends with you.We will definitely come back to you.
The lagman was rather disappointing, with just four small pieces of meat that didn’t warrant the $15 price. The potatoes with mushrooms were unremarkable. The samsa was also quite tiny. Overall, the food was merely mediocre and overpriced considering both the portion sizes and quality. I won’t be coming back here again.
