Menu
The restaurant from Brooklyn offers 167 different menus and drinks on the menu at an average price of $15.0.
The restaurant had a mix of reviews, with some diners praising the outstanding food like the vegetable momo and garlic nan, while others were disappointed with the Indian cuisine and service. The exceptional quality of the food was consistently highlighted, with fresh produce and great presentation. However, noise levels, cramped space, and slow service prompted some patrons not to return. The cash-only policy caught some customers off guard. Overall, while the food received high praise, there were significant issues with service and ambiance that may affect a diner's decision to return.

Was Roberto Marciano at Gersi a mag?
The food was excellent. I opted for a simple dish—roasted salmon with sautéed broccoli—and started with an appetizer featuring stracchino cheese and roasted peppers. My wife chose pasta, and everything was flavorful and expertly prepared. The atmosphere was very pleasant; it was a quiet evening with no background noise. The staff were friendly and attentive, quickly adjusting the thermostat when we mentioned it was a... View all feedback.
What Josh dislikes about Gersi:
The good: the food was very good and offered at reasonable prices. Service was efficient for being really busy. Our server seemed to have many tables. The bad: the restaurant lacks comfort. We were there for prime time on Friday night (we had a reservation). It was extremely crowded and we were seated by the door. A wave of cold air smacked us every 30 seconds or so and I ate in my jacket. The aisle is very narrow an... View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I highly recommend the Branzino and the Bruschetta, both of which were amazing. I would suggest skipping the fennel citrus salad. The pastas were all delicious. However, the ambiance is extremely loud. It was difficult to have a conversation with my party of 6 as one end of the table couldn't hear the other. Additionally, they charge a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, which seems unnecessary for a restaurant that isn't a fast food chain like McDonald's. I'm sure they can absorb the 2% credit card fee.
I just had the best Italian pasta known to men. So I went there on a Friday night with my friend and we had a good time catching up. The waiters were friendly and accommodating. The dessert wasn't my favorite, but the eggplant pasta I ordered was 10/10 yummy. It was so filling that I couldn't finish the entire meal in one sitting. I recommend!
A friend and I visited this restaurant on a whim after wandering around Brooklyn for hours unsure of what to eat, and I'm so glad we did. Normally, I don't order pasta when dining out because I can make it at home, but the menu here was truly exceptional. I was torn between several dishes, but ultimately chose a penne dish with shrimp that was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The bread they served, which I think was focaccia, was also outstanding. The only downside, if you can even call it that, was that they had multiple menus for specials and seasonal dishes, making it a bit difficult to remember all the options. Their website only had the main, permanent menu, so I couldn't recall all the dishes I saw. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend checking out the menu in person for even more options.
We were a group of 7 celebrating a birthday looking for a new restaurant. Our server Douglas was extremely attentive and offered excellent meal suggestions. We tried a wide variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The pastas were fresh, and the pork chops and steak were deliciously tender. Let’s not forget the home made desserts! I think we found our new go to! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
