Description

Nestled in Brooklyn, this traditional Italian restaurant exudes an old-school charm reminiscent of classic New York dining. Patrons appreciate the authenticity of dishes like the buttery Alfredo and flavorful veal and chicken Parmesan, served in generous portions. The ambiance, featuring white tablecloths and tuxedoed servers, enhances the experience, promising a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. While the service can be slower during peak times, it remains attentive and friendly. Diners recommend the garlic bread and the delicious rigatoni, though some note that prices can be on the higher side. Overall, it’s a delightful spot for a genuine taste of Italy.

Divine service and ambiance. Staff are true gentelmans and the old italian interior makes the dining experience so special. Their martinis pasta are lovely, dessert was good but would try a tiramisu the next time.

Cozy, intimate, simple, but delicious! We sat at the bar for a party of two and it was perfect. Service was great all around, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was exactly what we were looking for. The rigatoni alla vodka was to die for. Definitely we’ll be coming back to this new neighborhood favorite!

There were five of us who went to celebrate my birthday. I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and the food is consistently delicious. The service is outstanding as well.

PSA: DO NOT GO! Tl;dr the food was mid and I was overcharged twice without my consent. First, the waiter recommended the most expensive item in the menu: mixed seafood platter. I took his suggestion and then the plate comes out and it's mostly linguine. It's basically some seafood but mostly pasta. Then, when the bill comes, we are charged 10% more than the menu. The Waiter says that he told me it is extra for linguine and I said yes.. when that conversation definitely did not happen. We are nice about it and just pay the additional costs (now I regret it). A few days later, I checked my credit card bill and the restaurant had the audacity to increase the tip and charge more on the bill than I signed for. THIS IS FRAUD. I'm pretty shocked and, after reading the reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one. I wonder how many customers are scammed by Belmonte's for overpriced and very subpar food. Price per person: $50–100
