Nestled in the scenic Peak District, the Devonshire Arms presents a blend of warmth and challenges for visitors. While the atmosphere is inviting and accessible, with friendly staff and charming local interactions, the culinary offerings have faced criticism. Mixed reviews highlight dry burgers, uneven cooking, and limited menu options, particularly concerning set menus. Although some patrons praise homestyle dishes like the Steak and Ale pie, others lament tougher cuts of meat and dessert disappointments. Despite service hiccups, many cherish the welcoming spirit of the pub and its potential for enjoyable visits, particularly for those seeking a relaxed meal in a picturesque setting.

I made a spontaneous stop at this pub while driving around the Peak District and I was pleasantly surprised. The pub was very welcoming and easily accessible for me as a wheelchair user. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious and homemade. I would definitely visit again! View all feedback.
