First time visiting Branson, food has been meh…Then, we stumbled upon Clockers Cafe in downtown. It was so good! Basically like eating at Grandma’s house. All the coziness and comfort food you need. My husband and I shared the Chicken Fried Steak, one of the best I’ve had. My two kiddos (10 9) shared the Chicken Tenders platter. The tenders were huge! So good!! We have dined at this restaurant multiple times over the years, but we’ve noticed a significant decline in both the quality of the food and the portion sizes. During our recent lunch visit, we spent $52.00 for our family of four, and that was with my daughter and me sharing a meal while everyone opted for water. Was hoping for a great diner experience but the $3 coffee was like water… hashbrowns were undercooked- corned beef hash looked and tasted like it came out of a can. At least the eggs were fine and the waitress was nice. $30 for 2 of us to learn not to come back… disappointing.
Way over priced, small portions, terrible food (old, cold, hard biscuits), very slow service. Don’t waste your time or money!
DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE TWO HOURS FOR BREAKFAST!! We were not acknowledged, waited 30 minutes to be seated, another 25 minutes to get coffee and to place our order…while they took orders from many other tables who came in after us…and then another 20 minutes for food to arrive but then we had to wait again for silverware, syrup, etc. I suppose this place is fine if adequately staffed, but verify that before you waste a minute on this place.
DONT WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE CAUSE ITS TERRIBLE FOOD. I ORDERED the chicken fried steak, two scrambled eggs and hash browns and it was the smallest chicken fried steak I've ever seen and looked out so I told the waitress about it and she says we're sorry, as in that's what you get. I got everything home and my mom and I at the same time said this looks like old food from a buffet that's been left out. I am not a big review writer but wanted to express my disappointment in Clockers. Especially since it had great reviews. I understand everyone's tastes are different but wanted to share my experience. My husband and I ordered the platter to spilt. Sausage, French Toast and Scrambled Eggs.
