A must-visit! It's quite busy, so it's a good idea to plan ahead. The portions are generous, and there’s a fantastic selection of craft beers. When sitting at the bar, couples don't have to wait long for service. The atmosphere is great—we had an amazing day in Boone! View all feedback.

After touring Appalachian State University, we were hungry. Saw Macado's downtown, and decided to have lunch before headed on the road for our five hour drive. The food was delicious!!! The waiter was very kind. Sat us near one of their TV screens as we watched Rugby. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. When we visit again, we'll make sure to stop by for lunch
Great bang for your buck. My mom got this bottle of Guinness for $2, they must’ve been having a deal that night. You get a big sandwich and a side for $10.
The wait was not as long as we were told so that was good. My daughter and I both enjoyed our sandwiches. I got the Barnyard with chicken, egg, and bacon on sourdough. So many great choices in sandwiches. It was hard to choose. Service was good. My daughter like the macaroni salad but I thought it was too dry. Overall, I would definitely return next time we’re in Boone.
My husband and I truly enjoy dining at this restaurant. We've been visiting for over 30 years and love how they've managed to preserve the same atmosphere from our college days, even after the renovations. Mike Bosse has consistently been an outstanding manager and has invested a lot into this establishment. Today, we had the pleasure of meeting Austin and Ben, who provided exceptional service! The restaurant was impeccably clean. We savored the Jamaican Jerk Wings and Thai Chili with hot sauce and fries. Despite having more tables to manage, Ben handled everything flawlessly. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we didn't have to wait long for our table. The food was delicious, and the enticing scent of cinnamon buns in the air was a lovely surprise. We treated ourselves to dessert, and the cinnamon buns were absolutely worth it—they were incredible! I don't understand the low ratings some have given. This is definitely a fantastic place to stop by for lunch.
