I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation but left feeling disappointed. The food was flavorless, the chicken was tough, and the garlic rice contained hard garlic roots that I had to continuously spit out. The portion sizes of the starters did not justify the prices charged. As a female customer, I felt uncomfortable being closely watched throughout my meal. The total cost ended up being £15 more than what was listed on the menu. Allergies were not even asked about. My friend's starter consisted of only three small pieces of lamb, which we found to be inadequate. A staff member was seen eating and watching loud TikTok videos at the front desk, which was unprofessional. The empty restaurant and lack of takeaway orders being fulfilled for over an hour and a half gave me a bad feeling upon entering. I will be sticking to my regular restaurant on the same street in the future. Overall, I would not dine here again. Service: 1, Atmosphere: 2
The portions of poppadoms and starters we ordered were small, and my friend's drink came in a smaller glass than requested. Although the food did not take long to arrive, the main dishes were disappointing. The chicken was tough, and the lamb was chewy, lacking flavor. Despite feeling hungry, I didn't complain. Throughout the meal, we felt uncomfortable as one waiter watched us constantly, while the gentleman who seated us was at the bar eating and watching loud videos on his phone. I even saw the "chef" sitting on the floor taking calls on the phone when I went to the bathroom. Additionally, a staff member was vaping in the toilets, and the bathroom floor was wet. The drinks were somewhat enjoyable but flat. Overall, the experience was not as good as other restaurants in the area, and I doubt I will return, especially considering the average price of £30 per person. I had high expectations for the food, but it fell short. The staff were attentive, and the service was relatively quick, but it was a disappointing experience overall. The restaurant did not inquire about dietary restrictions or allergies, and parking was difficult to find due to its location on the high street. The atmosphere was lacking, and I would rate the food a 2, service a 1, and atmosphere a 2.
