Nice reception friendly staff few guests despite the lunch time price performance ratio typically swiss (lunch menus between 18 25 chf; the rest of the offer rather expensive : unfortunately the operators are not open to criticism (are only used to compliments , rather muddy response and not very flexible (as indicated on the map, no changes possible a pity.... thon rolls are offered EVERYWHERE (not only at 113 only with vinegar in the mayonnaise thon mass (quote from the staff boss? that was the succinct answer to my inquiry about the taste of vinegar although I only got one I ate a small corner of the Thonbrötli (unfortunately the vinegar taste was too prominent for me the whole thing was charged (I then also paid for it there is no point in discussing it .... my statement on this: äääääh NO! not true! (40 years ago I learned how to make tuna mousse without adding vinegar, which I still appreciate very much thanks to my trainer! Conclusion: learned something new again! (well, I 'm sure.... We had excellently prepared steaks here for dinner. The restaurant is run by very friendly and efficient management and staff and has comfortable spaces both inside and outside. Keine Atmosphäre und schlechtes Essen - das bekommen sie im Cent Treize in Binningen - und müssen erst noch dafür bezahlen. Man kommt nicht umhin der Besitzerin und ihrem Sohn einen Berufswechsel nahe zu legen. Das "Ambiente" ist düster und altmodisch, die Besitzerin bemüht freundlich und ihr Sohn in der Küche würde besser Autos reparieren oder als Gemeindearbeiter sein Geld verdienen - als Koch ist er schlichtweg ungenügend. Egal was man bestellt: die Suppen sind wässerig und fade, die Älpler-Makronen sind a) keine Makronen und b) schwimmen diese in einer weissen wässerigen Substanz, welche weder nach Rahm noch nach Käse schmeckt, die Gnocchi in Gorgonzola-Sauce waren ein Kartoffelbrei in einer undefinierbaren weissen Pappe etc. Die Liste liesse sich endlich weiterführen. Man würde hier gerne mal den Restaurant-Tester Bumann vorbeistecken - da würde bestimmt kein Stein auf dem anderen bleiben.

Found this on Trip Advisor and it was only a 10 minute walk from where we were staying so we decided to give it a try.Very welcoming host. Impeccable English so could help us through the menu.I had the pork with tomato cheese noodles with the inevitable green salad to start. Very tasty.My wife had the 'thin slices ' of veal with a tuna caper sauce again very tasty.She couldn 't manage a dessert (the portions are generous)I had a meringue glace yum!!The restaurant is right by the number 2 tram stop so if you 've got a day ticket well worth a visit. Busier at lunch when I booked the table than the evening when we ate
