Super delicious food, with an exquisite wine card!!! Great ambience and an attentive professional service! An absolute recommendation
Inconspicuous from the outside, upscale atmosphere inside. Wonderful service and courteous advice. Varied, albeit small, open wine list. The dishes are consistently successful, but the kitchen still lacks a bit of courage.
They are not yet where they want to be…but they’re already high level charging. 20% less would be a more suitable price-performance ratio for now. Balance of flavors and structures needs finishing touches and one too often taste like „sorry, we‘re still trying“. Recommended for a younger crowd whose focus is more on the wine menu then on the food. More seasoned players i‘d rather point to kitchens who are already where the Merold wants to be.
I'm thrilled, my new insider tip in Berlin – great service, interesting wines, a fantastic, surprising menu, and the optional signature dish – the bratwurst – is a must. Jonas Merold learned from Tim Raue, among others. Thanks to the team for this fantastic evening.
I've lived in Berlin for 15 years and eat out a lot. Merold is my absolute favorite restaurant; I've never had such good food anywhere else.
