Was Ara H at Maru a mag?
The adaptation of traditional Korean food is very interesting. In my personal opinion, I am sure that the chef understands Korean food very well. Plating is beautiful and the taste is impressive, so it is probably one of the top Korean restaurants in Berlin. View all feedback.

Presentation of food very nice, Taste quite good apart from the soup made out of asian boullion bags, the same I use in my kitchen bought for a package. I have expected something more exotic in the taste. I took ramen. Cost of food...OK! Waitress a bit unfriendly. I thought this place would be great. my gf lived in korea and says his authentic korean, but with a modern twist. I had the bulgogi that was great and the avocado-kimchi salad was amazing. I licked the plate. another thing that distinguishes it from most berlin restaurants was their cleanliness. normally dirty bathroom=dirty kitchen, but maru was impeccable. I can finally recommend maru if they want a good Korean with variety.

We've been going to Maru for a couple of years and always enjoyed the casual atmosphere and authentic cuisine. When they closed for renovations in 2016 I got worried. No more worries though, they have reopened, redecorated, and importantly redone the menu to include an...amazing range of new dishes. Service is polite and helpful as always. No fake Koreans here ; I haven't worked my way through the new menu just yet, but really enjoyed trying the new options both vegetarian and not so vegetarian. Prices have increased just a bit (but frankly I always wondered how they made ends meet with the old prices). Highly recommended!
Very friendly service…very good food…would gladly come again…Payment system: The server comes with an iPad and clearly displays the costs incurred. Very reassuring feeling when paying by card.
