Nestled in West Berkeley, The Westside Cafe offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly service and a welcoming vibe. Diners rave about the fresh oatmeal, balanced coffee, and delicious, affordable breakfast options, including specialties like baklava. Despite changes in management, the focus remains on healthy meals that cater to both locals and visitors alike. While the cafe has experienced quieter days compared to its bustling past, its spacious layout makes it an ideal spot for leisurely meals. With easy parking and the fastest WiFi in town, it’s perfect for a relaxed morning with family or friends.
This restaurant is a nice, clean and comfortable place to hang out. Starting your day with a cappuccino and baklava here is a great way to start the day. The owner is sweet and it is also a dog-friendly cafe. Overall, a proud establishment in Berkeley!
This restaurant is a great place to have a leisurely breakfast. The service may not always be consistent, but it is always friendly. Despite the new foodie competition in the area, the restaurant can seem quiet at times, which makes finding a seat easier. They offer a simple menu of traditional breakfast items, which is always satisfying for both me and my out of town guests.
Love the oatmeal. Not a very large portion but the fruit is always fresh and excellent and the wait staff in the mornings are very nice. It is often not crowded on weekdays if you are hoping to take up time on a table for a little while. Will return.
The restaurant has friendly owners and offers delicious food in a cozy setting. The coffee is perfectly balanced, not too strong or too weak. There are affordable options for snacks or meals, including some tasty specialties. The atmosphere is laid-back and the restaurant is spacious and comfortable, with easy parking access.
