Best Sushi Definitely in berkeley possibly California may possibly the USA the world. Regular Japanese dishes also very good! Great service, the sushi kitchens are really nice. My favorites are: Joshuya and Super Crunch roles, the spicy hot juicy, and the Amsterdam. The menu is constantly improving. Rolls are good for how big and tasty they are! View all feedback.
Joshuya is a remarkable Japanese restaurant because of its delicious food, and also because it seems to be one of the few restaurants near the campus that actually has terrace seating. According to friends, the menu changes much, although not better, as prices were obviously higher. She said it was a lot cheaper in summer, but maybe they increased the prices for the upcoming autumn semester. Anyway, I decided to go with the 14-dollar box. You get your choice of two entrees and it comes with Tempoura. The tempura had a bit too much crispy stuff around her, though she had a nice cripple on it. I had better than a lot of speed overall. The salmon teriyaki I ordered was cooked exactly right and it had a lot of sauce that is a winner in my book. I also got Sashimi, and it came with quite large pieces that were all really good, although the salmon was inferior to the tuna. I also ordered a green tea ice cream that actually tasted like green tea, so it was a success. The pricing, although apparently, was still not bad, and the food here is better than many Japanese restaurants nearby. I would recommend that people eat here when they're in the neighborhood.
