Been awhile since I came here due to pandemic. They have limited outdoor sitting but they do a lot of pick up orders. They wear mask and hand sanitizers available for use. We had the Eddie in honor of late E. Van Halen as usual it was delicious. They use local and organic ingredients. I don't mind paying $22 for a large pie. We devour the pie. Come and visit before they close for the winter.
After the most disappointing pizza I ever had in my life 6 miles from this little location, I goggled other pizza places, and this one came up, I was skeptical, but I ordered. a lard half sausage and pepperoni, half prosciutto. This has got to be one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. My friend was feeling sick from the other pizza place that will not be named, so she didn 't eat it right away, but I did, I took three bites into the slice of pizza and jumped out of the car. I ran down the street back to Marigolds just so I could open the door and yell the cook This pizza is delicious! She was very humble, and she said Thank you so much. I closed the door... knowing this was far from my last trip to this establishment, and it will definitely be worth the 1 hour drive from my home... BRAVO!
Delicious pizza with inventive toppings and a choice of crust types. Pre-Covid this place was a regular stop every Friday night. We hope to return now that they have reopened.
I think what makes marigold the best pizza in Bennington County is that they don't try to do New York Style pizza. They do their own sort of artisinal pizza thing. It's not that good ol' new york comfort food, but it sure is delicious. On the down side,it's very expensive, and portions are small. If you are only feeding two people who generally don't eat a lot in a sitting, onelarge pie is just enough. We usually go if we ate a big late lunch and aren't terribly hungry at dinner. Recently, they seemto close for days or weeks at a time randomly and very often. I recommend calling before you go to make sure they decided toopen up that day or haven't closed up earlier than their posted closing time.
Wasn't expecting to find good pizza outside of NYC. Came here randomly because it was the closest place to my airbnb that was still open. Glad I did, the ingredients were fresh and the service was fast. Wasn't as thin a pie as I would have liked but wasstill really delicious.
