Was Daniel Doyle at Maluchi's a mag?
The atmosphere was like walking into a chinese triad, las vegas, cocaine racket, and the food was nice and the waitress laughed at my joke when I was drunk. Good night. View all feedback.
What Gray Alexandra dislikes about Maluchi's:
Think we were unlucky, a mistake was made with the starters, when the mains came out the vegetables were cold and some of the party had to wait an excessive time for their mains to come, which unfortunately didn't help the atmosphere of our party. We were told they had a stand in chef, so on another occasion the experience would have been a lot different as the place has had some really good reviews. Service: Dine in... View all feedback.
I purchased a gift voucher on December 22, 2021, which was valid for one year. Unfortunately, it expired just before Christmas. I called to explain that my wife was in the hospital and needed surgery, and I requested a one-month extension. However, I was told that this was not possible since the validity period had already passed. I found this response to be quite harsh, especially since we regularly dine at this restaurant along with our friends and family. I'm very disappointed, particularly because I offered to provide proof of my wife's situation. This isn't just a matter of not using the voucher; it's due to an illness.
We had a delightful Christmas dinner with friends. The evening and the meal were wonderful. Our waitress was exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time.
This is a great place to dine out. Good food done well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Me and my partner live in the area and wanted to come after reading some reviews. The waitress was very lovely, but sadly the food and cocktails were not good. The starters are tiny, especially as they’re not cheap. My partner had the pate which was a thin slice that came with two bits of burnt stale dry toast and a dried out orange. I had squid that came with 5/6 tiny squid rings. No salad garnish on any. It was the tiniest starter I ever had and I questioned myself was it trying to do some sort of fine dining (it wasn’t) My partner shared his disappointment with the waitress who was very apologetic. They didn’t have the lamb shank which is what I wanted and initially ordered so had to change to seabass, and my partner had seafood linguine. The waitress said the portion sizes were big and we wouldn’t need any sides- she must have been having a laugh. My seabass itself tasted nice, but came with a few boiled baby potatoes and green veg I could have done better at home myself- lacked any flavour what so ever as were plain boiled in water/steamed. The seafood linguine was mediocre. Many closed mussels and the taste was poor. We had very little to eat all day long and were soooo looking forward to this meal but at 6 months pregnant I can safely say I left there hungry, as did my partner who had to come home and have cereal. Cocktail feedback from my partner- the monkey colado tastes like sour milk, not much going on. Very weak cocktails for the price- £12.95. At this point we weren’t going to chance the desserts and waste even more money. Left feeling very disappointed as it wasn’t a cheap meal. Needless to say we sadly won’t be back. They did take the price of one cocktail and Prosecco off the final bill which I can only assume was in relation to our complaints. Would have been over £80 otherwise. Was looking forward to dining here, read the reviews and thought it would be great to add a new restaurant to our repertoire. First impressions were excellent, beautiful decor, pleasant staff, very slight missgivings due to the half dead flowers on every table. The seafood cocktail starter was excellent but the tasty bread had obviously been cut and sitting in the hot kitchen for hours as it was very hard where it should have been soft. The mains... Lamb shank, should have been falling off the bone with silky gravy. It wasn't, unfortunately I had to wrestle the meat from the bone, whilst trying not to get the watery gravy on my shirt in my struggle, I had to give up the unequal contest and surrender. My equally unlucky partner had the Mongolian Beef, the meat was chewy and the dish was lacking in flavour... To be fair our server was very apologetic and did not charge us for the main courses, just the starters and the drinks.. But how disappointing, we were looking forward to this evening and ended up at home eating a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich.. Wiil not be hurrying to repeat the experience.
