Was Rusty Toy at Bendigo a mag?
We stayed at the BIG4 Ascot Holiday Park for 3 weeks and it was great. We had an ensuite camping spot and everything was extremely clean and the ensuite was a really good size. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this park to families and Grey Nomads alike View all feedback.
What Rusty Toy dislikes about Bendigo:
Came for the Marilyn exhibition and had a wonder around Bendigo. Nice clean town with plenty of open space, beautiful gardens, unfortunately Saturday afternoon so lots of retail outlets were closed. Tour tram for visitors and in the hat shop lovely informative and helpful lady....Lots of eateries something for everyone. Free parking at a short distance View all feedback.
There is a lot to see and do in the beautiful, historical town. Don't miss out. If you don't want to drive, take a train. If your a walker, you'll love it, but if not local buses will take you around. There is also the Vintage Talking Tram Tour. Your ticket is good for 2 days and you can get on and off at any stop. Have fun!
Beautiful city , with so much heritage .. Majority of eating places were good... And we couldn't help but notice the friendly people. Real "Country Hospitality" in a city ...very nice , thankyou .
After a day in Bendigo with a friend I remarked that everyone we'd dealt in (in shops, eateries and the art gallery) had been pleasant. My friend had stayed in Bendigo for a few days on another occasion and had become fond of the place. On the demerit side, the city is nastily chopped apart by broad, busy roads; it could be far more elegantly laid out with pedestrians in mind. Thankfully there are a couple of malls, and local drivers do give way to pedestrians. The city and surrounds have a large population of welfare-dependent people. This is reflected in the high number of opportunity (charity) shops. Cultural institutions and social history attract visitors and spending money; I hope Bendigo continues to build on this strength.
I really enjoyed visiting this city. The stunning architecture, gorgeous gardens, and overall enjoyable atmosphere made it a great experience. I would definitely visit again.
After visiting Bendigo, you'll find a welcoming atmosphere filled with rich history and culture. The Golden Dragon Museum showcases large cultural items from the gold mining days and the influence of the Chinese community. Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens and explore the historical pubs and restaurants. Don't miss out on the delicious coffee served at the cafes, and be sure to visit the Bendigo Museum for more interesting exhibits. The nearby wineries offer a world-class experience, and the charming old talking tram provides a unique way to tour the area.
