Traditional food in the center of Beaune. Limited choice on the menu. A whole crispy, juicy Poulet de Bresse is what many people order here. The price is quite steep but most diners seem to think it is worth the money. French fries and cooked hearts of artichokes Roman style are a good choice to have as a side dish. What Olga Tromp doesn't like about Cafe de l'Hotel de Beaune:
Beautiful location. Excellent service. However the food is a real disappointment. I had the menu degustation. Every course was at best average or poor. It seems to cater to rich tourists who want to be reassured that it is expensive and not very adventurous. The more I reflect on the meal, the more disappointing it is.
