Was Anonym at Marigold Garden a mag?
We were yet yo find a great Chinese in Bathurst and have been here 5 times now the the food is consistently good. Special fried rice to me is always an indicator of the food and here is outstanding. Combination Chow Mein is also a knockout along with the crispy filet steak.Consistently good. Decor is a bit dated and when busy service may be a bit frantic but the final product has never failed. Went to merry gold Chinese got a family pack a went to eat it found maggots in the meat rang lady she told us to bring it in and was only going to give money back for 1 meal I wasn't going to accept that I took it back in half was in The toilet after seeing the meat she ended up giving a refund as people was coming in and ordering wasn't happy at all this is disgusting will not ever go back order regularly from them... We ordered Chicken Chow Mein and chicken and vegetables and they were ok, but nothing spectacular, there are other better options in Bathurst so I won't be back.
Have been coming here for many years. Delicious, reasonably priced food, friendly and attentive service. Best Chinese in town!

Great Chinese food at great prices. The lunch special is a stand out and the staff is efficient and friendly. A family restaurant which has some great dishes, stand outs are the chicken curry and garlic beef and combination. Definitely worth trying, especially for a good lunch meal.
Not on their game at all when we dined. Service bad, went and got our own menus food order slow, wine list non existent as in out of bottled wine bar Riesling. Food arrived, forgot the rice and both mains were clearly sponsored by a carrot producer as were basically carrots, sauce with a slide of chicken and pork...not sure why this time around it was so bad, but will not be back.
