I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening with a friend, hoping to enjoy a nice Sunday roast as we were feeling a bit lazy. After sitting for at least 10 minutes, we were informed by a fellow customer that the kitchen actually closed at 6 PM. Can you believe it? Not a single staff member came to let us know. It felt like no one even noticed us; they just stood around while we looked at the menu. I can't help but wonder if they were ignoring us because we are people of color. Honestly, I didn't even want to give them a one-star rating. Also, there was an unpleasant smell as soon as we walked in. On the bright side, they do have a pool table and a dartboard for those interested in playing.
A charming little neighborhood pub. You'll come across it after a typical row of townhouses. The venue features a pleasant outdoor seating area, welcoming staff, and a great selection of beers. While it’s a bit more modern and bright than a traditional English pub, I can overlook that thanks to the nice TVs and pool table they have.
A very friendly little pub! The food is decent. The pub has separate areas for older patrons and younger guests. There’s also a pool table available.
This is a small pub situated on the outskirts of popley, opposite there is a large field which has a small play area for the kids, so its a nice pub if you want to walk the dog with your family and stop off for a quiet drink, i wouldnt go here in the evening as at times you can get a large crowd of people who are a bit rowdy but you will always get this in an estate pub, the staff are always there with a smile and you get served quick, ideal if you live on popley but i wouldnt travel to come here!
