Dining during COVID restrictions, the restaurant provided a memorable experience with fantastic service and delicious food. The wild boar dinner was a hit, and the pork chop was particularly outstanding. Despite some menu changes and a disappointing dessert, the enjoyable ambience and attentive service made for a lovely anniversary celebration. COVID protocols ensured safety while dining, and while the space felt a bit empty, the staff diligently followed guidelines. A unique experience during unusual times that allowed for a quiet and satisfying meal, highlighting delicious dishes and exceptional service.
We went here for our anniversary supper and it was very romantic. We were given complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate the occasion. The food was flavourful but pricey, worth it for the romantic wilderness atmosphere. Great service
The service and food was great, I would go back again but if your going in the winter, bring a sweater. It's cold
We had good hot food, great ambience and enjoyably quiet area. The service was very attentive. We even got a small appetizer because they thought our food was taking too long. A very enjoyable evening
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the Sleeping Buffalo. The food was incredibly tasty and the portions were quite generous. I ordered the elk, while my husband chose the bison rib special. We have no complaints about the food whatsoever. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. After we ordered gin and tonics, she suggested a local gin that completely amazed us. We would definitely love to return.
I visited this restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday, and the experience was disappointing. The only option available was a lackluster buffet, with no regular menu to choose from. When I say lackluster, I mean that many items were empty, and we had to request more of certain dishes to be brought out. The service was also quite poor; we had to ask multiple times just for a glass of water, and dirty plates were left on our table until we requested them to be cleared. Overall, it felt unprofessionally managed. The food on the buffet was mediocre at best. While you can fill your stomach for $23, I wouldn't recommend this buffet as it's not worth the price. There are definitely better options in the Bow Valley.
