**Dining Experience at Péché: An Eclectic Blend of Flavors and Atmosphere** Péché offers a vibrant dining experience, blending classic French cuisine with a lively atmosphere. Guests rave about exceptional dishes like duck confit, escargot, and perfectly cooked salmon, alongside inventive cocktails from Austin's first Absinthe Bar. While some diners found the service occasionally slow and the table arrangements congested, the overall culinary offerings shine. Highlights include delicious mac and cheese and standout appetizers such as mushroom fritters. Though a few dishes fell short, the enthusiastic staff and engaging ambiance create a memorable setting worth exploring. Despite some drawbacks, many look forward to returning for more delightful experiences.
For our main courses, we ordered duck confit and beef tenderloin, along with a crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was exceptional. I also appreciated that the entrées were generous enough to be satisfying on their own, which is a welcome change in a time when "small plates" are so common in upscale dining. Visiting on a Tuesday was a great choice because the restaurant was not too crowded. I could imagine it could get a bit loud and packed on weekends, as the tables are quite close together. If you have the chance to visit during the week, I highly recommend this place—the food is truly unforgettable!
After just one bite, I was brought to tears; the food was cooked and seasoned flawlessly. The drinks were fantastic, and I can't wait to return to try the milkshakes!
Nice place. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. Good food. Good quantity and quality. Their mushroom fries and cream brulee are really good. Nice place for causal dining. The place can be a bit loud. The Texas mule is reallygood.
Service was fantastic, the mushroom fritters and escargot were both winners. Cocktails were great. The only let down was the sweetbreads, they lacked flavor and the dish was just heavy with butter. It would have been better with some acid, but overall, great experience. We'll be back
