What User dislikes about Seabear:
It's hard to believe that a college city not on the coast can serve up such amazing seafood, but Seabear manages to do just that. If you're lucky enough to dine there, you won't be disappointed. View all feedback.
Wow! I never write reviews, but Seabear blows me away every time. The menu is adjusted seasonally, so everything is always fresh and delicious! As a person with food allergies, it’s delightful to find a place that really cares about its customers--taking the time to help you navigate the menu and adjusting dishes so that you can eat them too. Especially during COVID, I want to support local businesses that are following precautions to keep their customers safe:
The menu is eclectic and diverse and the food is superb! You'll enjoy the ambiance either inside or outside on the patio. The wait staff is great too! I think you'll enjoy Seabear!
We had some conversation with the bartender over drinks, many of which were completely custom to the restaurant. We had a couple of extra rounds at his suggestion and got a very smokey play on an old fashioned along with a gin based briny drink that went quite well with the oysters. Recomemnd
Great experience all the way around. It was my second visit to Athens, and my first time at Seabear. From the time I walked in and was greeted by the exuberant host to the time I paid my tab and left, the staff was friendly and accommodating without beingoverbearing (pun sort of intended). I?ll be going back.
The drinks were not good. One of 2 of the appetizers were good. One of the 2 entrees were good. I sent one back. Don't get the oysters. Those were extremely Disappointing. Service was fine. I would not recommend this place
