One of the best options in chestrillo de los polvazares! the last one when we plan to go with two other couples of friends to eat a maragato cooked to the pigeon municipality of the polvazars, we do not know where to go my partner since it is lioness to go to one that has recommended to her, but in the end they made me listen to and we went to the one that recommended me a bit of curro compis the restaurant is very simple cook
The restaurant betweenpiedras is located in the village of Castrillo de los polvazares, within the city of the lion and enjoys an excellent and privileged state of conservation. In recent years it has been refurbished, to offer today the special and warm atmosphere we can find. the restaurant offers a top-level kitchen as well as the service.
Entrepiedras is a typical maragata house restored in 2002. taste our cooked maragato in castrillo de los polvazares preserves the original structure in which on other occasions it was inhabited by the arrieros maragatos. They eat the old bird and the blocks. rehabilitated in a way in which the air of other times coexists with modern materials. its capacity is one hundred and ten people, to which the squares of the terrace are added, about forty when the good time accompanies. in the letter highlights the speciality of the area: the cooked maragato, dish that has the peculiarity of being eaten in reverse order to what we are accustomed to. meats are found (small muffin, chorizo, hen, paw and pig's ear, lacon, bacon, marinade rib, padding), then cabbage with sofried and chickpeas, and to finish the cook will take the soup. like dessert, natillas and ends with pork coffee and a digestive orujo. the reason for the order of this typical boat has several theories. Some say it's for untouching the body, others for if there's anything left, it's better than soup.
What a find! Our hotel in Leon recommended this fabulous restaurant in the most amazing village of Castrillo de Los Polvazares, only about 6 km from Astorga. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the charming walled gardens of this restaurant. With our very little Spanish and the owners 'poco ' English we enjoyed our best meal in Spain so far, the food was superb, especially the duck cooked in Pedro Ximenez . We highly recommend you checking this lovely place!
Excellent cocido, place is cozy, simple, really nice. Service is fast and friendly. A great experience, loved it!
