sent for a family christmas coming together organized by my sister in law. great eating excellent service and at a reasonable price. beautiful pub on the land with a lot of character and a warm welcome. went up and beyond by providing a small Christmas gift to the 2 smaller members of our party. We have visited several times in past year being new to the area and it being in walking distance. Food is sadly very poor. Pub in run down condition. Very little lighting and furniture tired. Owners friendly and despite all, there are regulars outside most days. Such a pity as the area really could benefit from a decent restaurant and pub. Would not alas recommending food to anyone.
